Masterclass

This workshop is intended to be a time for sharing and encountering the choreographic work of Ambra Senatore.

Our time together will begin with a phase of improvisation, which will privilege the experience of listening to the space and to different relationships. Our guiding principle is to let ourselves be led by something other than our mental will and allow movement to emerge spontaneously.

We will then move on to group games based on shared rules, which will open the way to the unexpected and encourage everyone to surprise themselves, without anticipating or deciding with the mind alone. These games involve the exploration of facial movements. This is an invitation to discover the foundations of Senatore’s piece of In Comune and to generate a renewed energy through individual and collective practice.

Romual Kabore

Romual Kabore is a Franco-Burkinabè choreographer born in Begueya, Burkina Faso. After training at La Termitière, he went on to collaborate with choreographers such as Salia Sanou, Ambra Senatore, Josef Nadj and Herman Diephuis. In 2014, he created his first solo, Romual, sans D. He has since created other pieces, notably Et si je dansais and Romual sans D II, and shared his passion for dance through workshops and other artistic events.

Classes take place once a month from 10 am to 4 pm at Le Quartz (Brest)

Annual fee: 135€ for 9 masterclasses
Individual fee: 25€ per masterclass
Fee for University of Western Brittany students: €5 per month or €35 per year* GANG membership fee: 5€ per season
