Masterclass

For this masterclass, we will talk about some of our inquiries while working on the performance "Couler le béton", and share the tools that we borrowed from contact improvisation and developed for this piece. We will work on the questions of weight, balance, trust, and consent, and offer a more nuanced exploration of contact.

Alexandre Tessier & Victor Allain

Alexandre Tessier and Victor Allain studied together at the CNDC (National Center for Contemporary Dance) in Angers, where they began their first experiments as a duo. After graduating in 2024, they created the company 2001. Under this name, they wrote their first piece, Couler le béton, while working between Brest and the Paris suburbs. Victor and Alexandre share a great sense of curiosity and a love of dance, theater, and cinema. They seek the political poetry of the world, which moves people deeply through movement and images.

Classes take place once a month from 10 am to 4 pm at Le Quartz (Brest)

Annual fee: €150 per year for 8 masterclasses and 1 workshop
Individual fee: €25 per masterclass
Two-day workshop fee: €50
Fee for University of Western Brittany students: €5 per month*
GANG membership fee: 5€ per season
